product sheet ATM 210Benefits
- aerosol generation against pressurised systems up to 10 bar
- long-term stable generation of aerosols
Applications
- generation of polydisperse aerosols, mainly submicron (
- long-term stable generation of aerosols
The atomizer is the key part of the ATM 210. It is made of high quality stainless steel and works as a two-stream nozzle, based on the injection principle. The unique feature is that the outlet points towards the wall of the glass vessel which works as the baffle plate. This particle impaction section removes coarse spray droplets and results in a particle size distribution mainly below 1 µm. Depending on the flow rate, the cut point of the impactor varies, but this has quasi no impact on the submicrometer range of the particle size distribution of the aerosol. The air is cleaned by a HEPA-filter before it is introduced to the atomizer.
The necessary compressed air is cleaned by a HEPA-filter. A pressure reducer and a manometer facilitate regulation of the atomizer pressure between 0 and 15 bar. A level indicator outside the atomizer vessel allows the user to check the liquid level during operation.
